Zechariah has been transformed from faith-lacking, failed priest to a man confident that God keeps His promises. Zechariah responds to the birth of John the Baptist praising God for keeping His promises and prophesying that God will continue to do so. At Christmas, we are reminded that the birth of Jesus Christ is proof that God keeps His promises, and will continue to do so in our lives as well.
